Haulbowline Naval Base – Block 9

We are currently engaged in the significant refurbishment and conversion of a protected 1,800m² structure within the historic Haulbowline Naval Base. The building, a former Victualling Store, is being transformed into modern office space for Naval Service personnel while maintaining its historical integrity. The project involves a comprehensive range of works, including:

– Refurbishment of the original protected structure to preserve its historical elements while bringing it up to modern standards
– Demolition and structural interventions are required to ensure the building meets current standards, without compromising its heritage value
– Installation of new internal access stairs
– Comprehensive mechanical and electrical installations to integrate modern systems into the protected structure
– Fire safety works, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards
– Finishes and completions incorporating both functional and aesthetic upgrades, ensuring the space is fit for its new purpose
– All associated site and ancillary works, including service tie-ins and interface works with the existing camp infrastructure.

The project is taking place within the fully operational Haulbowline Naval Base, presenting unique challenges in ensuring that all refurbishment works are carried out without disruption to daily naval operations. We are implementing high-level management, safety, and security control procedures on site to maintain both the safety of personnel and the smooth operation of the barracks.
