BioMarin Pharmaceutical

This project involved the construction of over 8000m 2 of additional accommodation at BioMarin Pharmaceutical. The works consisted of a new administration headblock building and atrium, the south expansion to an existing manufacturing building, a warehouse building extension and carpark and site development works.

MMD Construction was the main Contractor and the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for the works at BioMarin Pharmaceutical. As PSCS, MMD Construction had the  responsibility of managing and coordinating all health and safety matters during the works. All works were completed in accordance with the contract documents and complied with all statutory requirements including the Building Control Regulations and the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations. The works took place on a busy pharmaceutical campus with a lot of
pedestrian and traffic movements. The existing facility remained fully operational while the works were underway. This project required strict management of multiple sub-contractors to ensure a successful outcome.
