Heather House – Fast Track Design & Build

On June 18th 2022, we were delighted to welcome An Taoiseach Micheál Martin to officially open the recently completed Heather House Community Nursing Unit at St. Mary’s Health Campus, Gurranabraher Cork.

Heather House was an existing 34 bed, 2 storey residential unit that was built in 2008 at St Mary’s Health Campus. MMD Construction was contracted to deliver a fast-track design and build 60-bed extension to the existing nursing unit, including associated ancillary services and car parking. The 60-bed extension with ancillary services and site works was designed in accordance with new HSE Model Brief over 2 floors. The development provides both long and short stay residential accommodation for older persons.
