Smartply – Enabling Works

This project consisted of alterations and extensions to an existing live production facility with an average of 200 truck movements per day. This substantial civils project included the management of surfacing works consisting of 1815m² of asphalt and 2700m² of concrete. Dónal was the Senior Engineer on the project and oversaw the following elements;

• Re-routing of all existing services, including the construction of two new foul pumping chambers and connection to existing services
• Foundations and preparation work to allow the installation by others of new equipment, various conveyors and ducts
• Provision of a new weighbridge, wheel wash and truck sweep off area
• Surfacing works consisting of 1815m² of asphalt and 2700m² of concrete
• Construction of new loading docks and yard areas
• Construction of a new rerouted log truck haul road
• Constantly monitoring and updating the Traffic Management Plan to facilitate the works
